Our Services
At Hackney Podiatry, we offer a wide range of services to address all aspects of foot health, including:
Your First Appointment
During your first appointment, we’ll take the time to listen to your concerns, assess your feet, and discuss the most appropriate treatment options for you. Here’s what you can expect:
Our Podiatrists
All of our podiatrists are registered with the HCPC, have professional indemnity insurance with either the Royal College of Podiatrists or the Institute of Chiropodists and Podiatrists and hold a BSc (Hons) in podiatry.
Patient Care and Safety
Hackney Podiatry complies with best practice guidelines issued by the Royal College of Podiatry. This ensures the highest standards of hygiene and safety protocols so that you are welcomed into a clean, safe environment during every visit. If you have any concerns or specific needs, please don’t hesitate to let us know.
Booking Appointments
There are several ways in which you can book an appointment at Hackney Podiatry; via email, phone and in person. Please read the following regarding booking.
With the exception of nail surgery and verruca needling, all appointments require that the full amount is payable at time of booking. Nail surgery and verruca needling require a 50% deposit at the time of booking.
Home visit appointments are booked directly with Sarah, and may require payment in advance.
Confirmations and Reminders
Email confirmations are sent at the time of booking. SMS and email reminders are sent 48 hours prior to your appointment. If you have not received confirmation of your appointment, you may not be booked so please check!
Cancelling an Appointment
Hackney Podiatry operates a 48 hr cancellation policy, like many healthcare practices.
Failure to give 48 hrs notice will result in the full appointment fee being charged. This includes Home Visits. Discretion applies in extenuating circumstances.
Non-Attendance
If you fail to attend your appointment you will be charged the full appointment fee. This includes Home Visits. Discretion applies in extenuating circumstances.
Late Attendance
Please arrive promptly for your appointment. Arrivals up to 10 minutes late will be seen, within the remaining appointment time. Arrivals more than 10 minutes late may need to be rescheduled.
Appointment Length
Appointment times vary dependent on the appointment type:
Overruns
If your treatment requires more time than the appointment allows, you may be required to book an additional, follow up appointment. If it is possible to do so, we may extend the existing appointment and you will be charged for the extra time on a pro-rata basis. For every additional 15 minutes spent a charge of £20 will be applied. If it looks likely your appointment will overrun, the podiatrist will discuss this with you.
If you are unhappy with your treatment
At Hackney Podiatry we aim for the highest possible standards of patient care. If you feel we have not met the standard you expect, or are unhappy with your treatment in any way, we ask that you discuss with us and we will aim to rectify the issue to your satisfaction. If the issue cannot be resolved then we may offer a full refund for your treatment (excluding consumables and orthotics).
Clinical Notes
According to best practice guidelines, Hackney Podiatry maintains a record of the treatments you receive. You have the right to receive a copy of your clinical notes. Any requests for clinical notes should be made to Sarah Crookes, Director, and will be processed within 28 days.
